The History



Humble Beginnings



In 1994, the men of the Lambda Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., along with the ladies of the Epsilon Zeta and Kappa Iota Zeta Chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. formed the Sigma Zeta Foundation, Inc. The goal was to provide an organization that would serve to partner with and support other organizations, to promote positive activities that would encourage the spirit of community service and expand the educational, social, and economic opportunities for those in need. The foundation directors purchased the former East Point Women's Charities Club House at 2526 Delowe Drive in East Point, Georgia, branded it The Sigma Zeta Foundation headquarters, and set out on the mission to be a resource for those in need.

Visionaries



The Sigma Zeta Foundation is a service base community-centric 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Founded and Inc., in February 1994, we sought out to achieve our goal of promoting charitable, religious, educational, and scientific endeavors within our community. Including, but not limited to, establishing partnerships with and supporting other local organizations' strengthening our initiatives to promote positive activities.



What We Do





The Sigma Zeta Foundation, Inc. promotes charitable, religious, educational, and scientific endeavors within our community. We partner with and support other organizations to promote positive activities that encourage the spirit of community service and expand the educational, social, and economic opportunities for those in need. We are a community-oriented organization with a facility located in EastPoint, GA, that we use to further our organizational endeavors hosting events for the enrichment of the community and our foundation.

Congratulations to the 2023 Scholarship Recipients!



The Sigma Zeta Foundation, Inc., in partnership with the Lambda Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and the Epsilon Zeta and Kappa Iota Zeta Chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., would like to congratulate our 2023 Scholarship Recipients. As 2020 and 2021 presented you with a new set of challenges, you stood firm in the face of adversity to tackle those obstacles pressing on to start or continue towards your educational aspirations in 2022 which continues to bring about uncertainty and change, yet you press on. We are thrilled to present this virtual presentation as a tribute to you, to acknowledge your achievements, celebrate your success, and encourage you to recognize your full potential as we continue to push towards "Empowering Generations to Embrace the Extraordinary."



Community Involvement





Foundation members serve the community through various activities designed to promote educational, charitable, scientific, religious, and social awareness objectives. Such activities include on-going mentoring programs to support our youth, community luncheons featuring panel discussions on current affairs, assistance with Stork’s Nest projects held in conjunction with the March of Dimes, participation in Relay for Life events, and through peace celebrations that bring community leaders and the public into our facility for peaceful fellowship.​ ​
